Nominate for VILFHA Awards
After a two-year hiatus of the annual VILFHA Awards, due to the pandemic, the awards will be returning. As a reminder, the entire league is asked for nominations (players, coaches and officials – not fans or parents) to submit their nominees but a selection committee chooses the final recipients.
Here are the steps to nominate:
1) Review the award criteria carefully
2) Review who is actually registered on what team as that is the only division they can win division-specific awards
3) Nominate online here:
Please submit nominations by midnight on Sunday, March 5.
The year-end wrap up will be held on Tuesday, April 4 at 7:00 pm at the Juan de Fuca Recreation Center (still TBC). Awards will be given out on that night.
UVic Indoor Tournament returns
The University of Victoria hosted Indoor Tournament returns for 2023. The two-day tournament will be a 6-team round-robin on Jan. 21-22 at the McKinnon Gymnasium at UVic.
If you haven’t had a chance to see the game of indoor (5v5 on hardwood floor with boards along the sidelines to stay in play) this is a great time to come and watch.
