WANTED: VILFHA Action Photos
VICTORIA – The Vancouver Island Ladies Field Hockey Association (VILFHA) is currently looking for recent action photos from the women’s league games. In order to help promote the women’s league in each of its three divisions it is necessary to improve the variety, consistency and availability of media.
In particular, the league is looking for a photographer or anyone with recent photos from the 2011-12 season. We would like to encourage you to reach out to those you think might be interested in volunteering their time for a game or two on a weekend.
Photos will be used for the website and/or promotional and recruitment media.

Please note the following game changes to the games being held in DUNCAN, B.C. for Oct. 15 only:
9:30am Lynx II vs Stellers
11:00am Pirates vs Kestrels
12:30pm Sailors vs Swifts
All games played at UVic turf on Oct. 15 remain the same.
Thursday nights is host to the Fall/Winter 7-aside league! This league has been running for several years and has been home for long-standing clubs such as the Rebels, the Sissies, Club Chub and the Wiseprankers! If you are interested in joining this mixed 7-aside league this is your chance!
Criteria:
- Must be registered with FHBC (www.fieldhockeybc.com)
- Over the age of 14
- Open to both men and women

Several teams are looking for both men, women AND GOALIES in particular!!
There have been multiple schedule changes following the VILFHA AGM on Monday night. We are confident that all requested changes have been accommodated as best as possible. We appreciate your patience and are hopeful that the current schedule posted online via www.vilfha.ca is accurate.
There is still a wait to hear if the Saturday Sept. 17 9:30am game is a go ahead but other than that please respect the schedule that is now up.

At the end of the season, the team that finishes last in the 2nd Division will move to the 3rd Division for the next season and the team that finishes first in the 3rd Division will move to the 2nd Division for the following season.

Motion to change rule 5.3b (Playoffs) from:
In semi-final playoff games, if a game is tied at the end of regulation time, a five (5) minute break is allowed followed by one (1) sudden death overtime period of ten (10) minutes. If no team has scored at the end of sudden death overtime, penalty strokes will be taken following FIH rules.
